FAQ

Clear answers to common questions about what we do, what we don’t do, and how to work together.

Do you manage money or place trades for clients?

No. Adulting Finances provides education, templates, and financial strategy consulting. We do not take custody of assets or execute trades.

Are you a fiduciary?

We operate with a fiduciary mindset: transparent assumptions, product-agnostic recommendations, and no commissions or incentives to sell you financial products.

Is this legal or tax advice?

No. We do not provide legal or tax advice. For legal matters (including bankruptcy) or tax planning, consult a qualified attorney or tax professional.

What do I receive after a strategy session?

A clear prioritization order, key tradeoffs, and an execution plan (next steps for the next 7–30 days). If you want, we can also send a brief summary by email.

Who is this for?

People who want clarity and structure: budgeting/cash flow, debt/credit recovery, investment strategy, life transitions, and major financial decisions.

Who is this not for?

If you want someone to manage your portfolio, provide legal advice, or promise guaranteed returns, this is not a fit.

How do DIY tools differ from consulting?

DIY tools give you a structure to implement independently. Consulting is for complex situations, decision tradeoffs, and accountability when you want an expert guide.
